Second, the M-I-L is not going on the cruise with us

The Mrs. only gets to see her mother once or twice a year, so the priorities have to be different than they otherwise would be.

Yes, but why should YOU suffer, LOL? This is where you say, "You know, honey, if you REALLY loved me, you'd let me grab a rental car and go to the game while you head back up to your mom's, and I can drive there after the game... After all, I am taking you on a cruise, so it's not that much to ask..."

(This is where you give her the puppy dog eyes. Also, make sure her favorite song is playing in the background... and jewelry won't hurt, either.)

How does Belichick respond when one of his former stars starts screwing up? He sends the guy packing.

We all seem to agree it's time to Belichick Belichick. But who can replace him? Before I reveal the Patriots' savior, a little background...

In the late '90s, Kraft realized the error of the Patriots' three-headed hydra (head coach, starting QB, and GM) each trying to run the organization. Kraft consolidated power under Belichick, but that rented mule died in February 2005. Monday night, Brady showed the world he's a washed-up hack. And BB's lackey Pioli just flushed the Chad Jackson pick down the toilet. Perhaps they've grown arrogant, as if to tell the world, "We can burn this high draft choice and throw a game against the Colts and STILL be crowned champs!"

Before TomBeliPioli kicked Drew Bledsoe to the curb and started destroying New England's hard-earned reputation, Drew thought he ran the Patriots. But Drew was handicapped by Pete Carroll and Bobby Grier. If we bring Drew back to Foxborough and give him complete control, I'm sure he'll get this team back into its 1996 glory days shape.

Bledsoe's still under contract to Dallas, but he's now warming the bench. We may need to give Parcells a 1st round pick as compensation, but that's a small price to pay for a head coaching prospect like Bledsoe.

I suspect someone punked me by breaking into my home last night, banging out this offensive note on my computer, and then stealing away quietly into the night. I have my theories on who that might be.

Either that or one of the mods has framed me.
